A while back I posted asking about weather or not my NH 1725 had enough poop for a 3pt log splitter. I don't have the spec's but I believe Northern's reccomended G.P.M. was 11. My tractor's is 7. I'm not in the business of log splitting so I think slower won't be a problem. I'm about to have my dealer add some rear hydrolic connectors and buy Northern's splitter. Any last thoughts out there? Thanks.P.C.

A while back I was going to ask the best way to re-surface my driveway becuase I've plowed all the 3/4" stones away. Recently someone suggested the dump truck driver could get it very good by dunping as he drove along the driveway. Question is, how does one finish it off? I own a 72" Land Pride blade and have access to a 72" Land Pride rake. My previous attempts have not been very successful.

Well, I'm going to be looking for a 3pt blower for next year. Central NH, more snow than in any recent year (10+ I'd guess). The NH 7308 loader and Land Pride 72" rear blade work OK but not for the big storms. My neighbor with Kuboda B1700 and front mount blower bailed me out 3 times so far this winter. The banks on the sides have set and are 3' high. The blower just disperses everything into the woods. Gone, bye-bye, no more snow...

I thought my spelling of hydraulics looked funny. Oh well. Dealer says my 1725's G.P.M. is 7. I think that's close enough to give it a try. If it's too slow I can always add a P.T.O. pump.

What a great tip by Jim and others about plowing with the back side of the blade. It works great on my driveway with 1/2" stones. So much so that I'm no longer considering a blower unless I run into alot of spare cash and you know how often that happens. I'll probably skip the shoes also. Thanks alot!

Anyone have a good way to lube the hand throttle cable on my NH 1725? It's sticking in the cold weather and It seems pretty much inaccessible. I'm sure WD-40 or equivalent would fix it but I can't get there from here...

Sorry, I forgot one important issue. In one of the posts I read someone mentioned the fact that the 1725's P.T.O. was not live. I wouldn't think this would be too much of an issue, should this be a concern?
